Frequently Asked Questions
What does my ticket include?
Your conference ticket includes access all 11 sessions during the 2-day period, as well as the option to visit exhibitor booths throughout the day.
Where is the event being held?
Our venue this year is the Hotel Paso Del Norte. Constructed in 1912, it was one of the pioneering reinforced concrete high rises in the nation. The hotel has just finished comprehensive renovations and proudly displays the original structural concrete drawings and details around the lobby and conference area.
The hotel roof was a popular vantage point for spectators during the Mexican Revolution, and the historic bullet holes in the exterior walls have been preserved and are visible from the roof bar patio. At the lower patio bar, a historic plaque documents the “Four Dead in Five Seconds” gunfight which took place at that street corner in 1881.
What local networking events are being planned?
We are arranging several awesome networking opportunities with other attendees and exhibitors, including:
- A historic walking tour of downtown El Paso, presented by Visit El Paso’s expert architectural historian.
- Our Thursday evening function will be held outdoors (usually the perfect time of year in El Paso) and will be BBQ / Old-West themed with entertainment.
- Visit El Paso has provided us with a ton of information on local dining, shopping and nightlife AND this historic downtown trolley system has been completely restored and is FREE to ride!
How many PDH are being offered?
SEAoT is offering a total of 11 PDHs for the 2-day conference. Those attending the in-person event will receive digital certificates by email within 1 week concluding the event.
Why did you choose El Paso for this year’s event?
Each year this event rotates between our seven local chapters, resulting in a unique flavor for every conference. In 2021, the El Paso chapter is honored to host the conference in our beautiful and historic city.
How are you keeping attendees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic?
We are keeping a close eye on the COVID situation in El Paso. We have partnered with the Hotel Paso Del Norte to ensure we are following CDC guidelines and that proper safety measures are in place.
The hotel venue has taken numerous COVID safety measures including comprehensive HVAC upgrades as part of their renovation and ongoing sterilization processes. We are also working with them to provide social-distancing options for attendees. Please visit their website for more information.
Lastly, El Paso County boasts one of the highest vaccination rates in Texas. If you have any questions, please contact the SEAoT office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
