Awards and Recognition
SEAoT AWARDS
The Structural Engineering Association of Texas (SEAoT) awards members who exemplify outstanding contributions to the structural engineering profession. The recipients are awarded each year at the annual SEAoT State Conference. Nominations are accepted for these awards in the months prior to the conference and reviewed by the Awards Committee. The awards are based on worthy recipients and may not be awarded each year.
WILBUR C. SCHOELLER AWARD
The Wilbur C. Schoeller Award is presented to an individual, or individuals, who are members of the Structural Engineers Association of Texas and whose personal character, professional ethics, and service to the community are commensurate with such recognition.
It is awarded to individual(s) in private sector practice of structural engineering or structural engineering education, in recognition of specific achievement or attainment of noteworthy prominence in the structural engineering profession.

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD
The Distinguished Service Award is presented to an individual or individuals in recognition of outstanding long-term service to the organization. Recipients of the Award shall be members of the Structural Engineers Association of Texas whose personal character, professional ethics, and service to the organization are commensurate with such recognition. The award was originally established in 2000 as the James A. Anders Award in memory of James A. Anders and to recognize his outstanding contributions to the Structural Engineers Association of Texas.

YOUNG MEMBER SERVICE AWARD
The Young Member Service Award, new in 2022, recognizes a young member’s involvement in the organization early in their career. Deserving nominees should demonstrate outstanding leadership, service, and contributions to a student chapter, local chapter, and/or the state organization and have professional character, ethics, and performance commensurate with such recognition.
