Bio:
Josh Powers, P.E., is a Senior Preconstruction Manager at Timberlab where he helps owners, architects, and builders successfully deliver mass-timber projects across North America. With a background in structural engineering and construction, Josh works closely with project teams to align design, manufacturing, and construction early in the process. He is passionate about practical collaboration and advancing mass timber as a beautiful, efficient, and buildable structural system.
Presentation Description:
This presentation will: provide a high-level overview of mass timber and how it fits into the commercial design and construction industry; address common technical issues that differ from steel and concrete design; and end with project examples in Texas.
