Topic: The fischer Spring Model: Understanding The Influence of Flexible Base Plate on Anchor Performance (1.0 PDH)

Presenter:  Mauricio Gonzalez

Abstract:

This presentation introduces the fundamentals of post-installed anchor design in accordance with ACI 318-19, focusing on the influence of base plate stiffness on anchor behavior and load distribution. Participants will learn key engineering criteria used to evaluate base plate stiffness and explore fischer’s Spring Model, which utilizes Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to determine realistic forces at anchorage points. The session will also demonstrate how the fischer C-Fix software can be used to optimize anchorage designs, improve design efficiency, and support safe, code-compliant structural solutions.
