The next meeting of the SEAoT San Antonio Chapter will be held on Tuesday, May 21st, 2024. We will be hosting our meeting at Old San Francisco Steak House.
Topic: Heavy Timber // Dickie Hall at Trinity University
A case study of Heavy Timber applications, challenges, and recommendations learned during design and construction of Dickie Hall at Trinity University.
Presenter: Larry Rickels, PE, Principal, Datum Engineers, Inc.
Larry has an eye for detail, responsiveness, creativity, and sensitivity to good design. He has two bachelor’s degrees from UT Austin – one in architecture and the other in architectural engineering – and also a master’s degree in engineering. His body of work includes museums, K-12 and higher education facilities, retail centers, commercial buildings, and religious facilities. Signature projects include the Witte Museum Renovation/Addition, The DoSeum, UTSA University Center expansion, Plaza de Armas Renovations, and the upcoming Alamo Visitor Center and Museum.

Proceeds from meeting dues will contribute to the end of year fundraiser event.
